Tropical Storm Edouard

Postby spacecitycomics » Mon Aug 04, 2008 8:51 am

Tropical Storm Edouard is expected to come visit my neighborhood on Tuesday.
Thought I might conglomerate some WEBCAMS and add a few new that are online
since Hurricane Rita, some 3 years ago.

VARIOUS WEBCAMS FROM AROUND THE HOUSTON - GALVESTON METRO AREA
** PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU OPEN THESE LINKS IN A NEW WINDOW, I'M NOT SURE
HOW TO MAKE THEM DO THAT IN UBBCODE.
Enjoy,

Those are some great links!

As the storm gets closer, I'm going to start putting them up to watch the progress.

Anyone who wishes to post their pictures of Eduardo arriving etc, there are plenty of people who would be interested in seeing them.

I posted a few here a few years back, can't remember the password to my old
user name. I have the extra batteries charging for the digital camera, and plan
on heading out to a wide open area of the east Texas Highway 90, between Houston
and Crosby. Great vista views from some of the highway overpasses.

Now that Edouard has made landfall, I'll be interested to see pictures from people.

It is fortunate that it was "only" a 65mph tropical storm.

It's raining, and a little windy. Rain started here just a tad past 6am this
morning, I was letting the dog out, and got sprinkled on, the rain, not the dog.
A few pics for those interested.

If ANYTHING exciting happens here today, maybe I can get some fresh pics.

Looks like a lot of rain, that is for sure!

I've been in Ft. Lauderdalel, Miami and the Keys for storms and it is always a lot of anticipatory worry to start with the hope that it will turn out to be some wind and rain and nothing worse. ;-)

Thru 4:30, about 4 1/4 inches of rain, temp in the very low 80's all day, satellite tv in and out,
so we resorted to a couple of John Wayne movies on disc, and rabbit ears for local news.
Sprinkles outside currently, wife heading to local Mexican restaurant for supplies.
All in all, a very satisfying day.

At least you had power. From what I've seen on TV, it wasn't a major event for most people. :-)
