Jake with a limp~ Readers Poll.
I'll let you people decide at this fork in the road. Do you want me to keep this story about a broken man and his trials. OR do you want that to be the side story to what would eventually lead up to a horror story. Now if I go horror, I will still maintain the dramatic value of the character. Your votes will decide Jakes future.
The dark night beckons. Bear us your soul, it whispers. Expose your wicked delights. Join the rest of us on the wind. The dark night beckons and we answer. Sailing into the shadows.

Keep it about Jake mainly but then you could lead into the horror very slowly. Or maybe not the blood and guts Freddy kruger type horror maybe werewolf type horror. Maybe he's a werewolf or vampire or something like that. Ok I'm rambling. I like the classic (I guess you'd call it) horror type. That's my opinion.

I agree with deadbride and Hooch, I love Jake's story so far, and I think you would do a really good job of slowly moving it into something creepy and horrific. Maybe after you get all done with it you can get it printed up or all into one pdf file, and we can have our first "publication" from Halloween.com Press!
I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.
