working on a new chiller........

Post by Spookymufu » Wed May 21, 2014 7:50 pm

I'm building a new chiller this year. I went "all out" and I'm making it more professional this time around....

More pics and a video on my FB page

Nice Spooky! I saw your video on FB. Would this be more cost efficient than the store bought fogger? Would it last longer??

this isnt a fogger, it's an addition to your fogger, it allows the fog to lay low to the ground by using ice as a coolant (not sure how familiar you are with chillers) but yes it's cheaper then pre made "professional" chillers, for example, Froggy's sells one almost exactly like this one for $149

http://www.froggysfog.com/machines/fog- ... 36UcHZhpUs

I made mine for about $50 in materials or so not including any tools I used

EDIT: Whats your name on FB?

Thank you for explaining, Spooky. I hadn't realized the difference between the two.

Curious... how would one of these work with dry ice? The fog would be even denser than with regular ice and when the ice sublimates it would just add to the fog?

Oh yeah... say hi to Sam Hain.

yes nevermore, the best combination is 50% dry ice pellets and 50% regular ice, I WILL be trying that out with this bad boy!

That is amazing.

I made my husband make a chiller for our fog machine a couple years ago... it's a little ghetto with duct tape and... it didn't work too well. Might have to give your version a shot.

I'm going to have to check it out! I'm not looking to build one anytime, soon. But if I should ever have or want to, I have yours as a reference. Thanks spooky!

If you put it at the top of the stairs is it effective enough to make it all the way down to the bottom?
All you that doth my grave pass by,

As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.
