My new idea

Post by Spooky » Thu Jun 28, 2007 11:09 pm

I have a pergola out over my deck, and I was thinking of covering the whole thing with some sort of Halloween fabric, and then tie it to the posts, to look like curtains on the sides, and put a table in the middle with a cool carved pumpkin on it, and a cool chandelier. I think it would be cool to make dummies up of all the different Halloween creatures-werewolf, vampire, frankenstein and the mummy, and have them sitting at the table. I am opening my pumpkin carving contest up to the public this year, hopefully I'll have pumpkins everywhere.

I agree, I can't wait to see pictures... I'm a very visually oriented kind of guy! :)

Oh pumpkin carving contests are soooo fun. The college did a pumpkin glow each year and people would carve their pumpkins and bring them to the event. Everyone lit theirs and numbered them, then you got to go around, choose your favorite and vote. It was soooo neat because there were hundreds of pumpkins.

Spooky, that sounds awesome! Would love to see pictures afterwards :)

Mandy0221, that would be such an awesome sight to see all those pumpkins glowing in mass bunches, could you post pictures next time if they hold it again?

Thanks Mandy0221, can't wait to see them. I only usually do 3-5 pumpkins, well cause I carve them all myself  But I still love my little trio
