when the dust settles...

I love the feeling right after trick or treating, usually very late at night when everything is down. I ususally walk down the street and look around. people keep their decoration on. There is such a quiet calm feeling in the air. It is a little spooky and eerie. I love that feeling.
happy happy halloween silver shamrock.

Yes!

It feels like a moment frozen in time.
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

Interesting! I've never actually done that. The quietest night on our street is Christmas Eve, after about 9 p.m. The whole town seems to go to sleep, except for those of us who choose to attend a midnight service--but not many churches have those.

Halloween stays pretty active around here, because we live on a busy street, and there are adult revelers who zoom up and down the street, it seems. TOT is usually done by 8:20 or so. In a good year it might last until 9 in certain neighborhoods, but this was a windy, cold year, and people got it done and went home.
