Halloween cakes?
Does anyone know any idea how to make halloween cake here? My fiancee is going to start making a cake, then she will let me know when to post a pic of it here.
Anyways, have you ever made a halloween cake before? If so, then please post a recipe here, and also, a pic of it here, if necessary.

No, the witch is not candy and it is not eatable! LOL! I believe she bought that witch from Michael's.
And also, there was one or two more cakes made by my cousin and I am going to ask her for a pic. I hope she still has the pic, maybe I will post it here.

we always make dirt cake for halloween. You know the kind that uses pudding, cream cheese, coolwhip and oreo cookies with gummie worms and spider rings. It is so good and simple to make. If you do it for halloween you can make it like a graveyard with tombstomes .

Graveyard Cake
Hey Mandy!!
THank you for telling me about the graveyard cake!
You can go see http://familyinternet.about.com/cs/hall ... veyard.htm
BTW, I think I've found Jack-O-Cakes there too! I will post here anytime when I find it again, and also, I hope if I can find the pixs as well.

Yes that receipe is pretty similar but the one I have taste even better. I believe you mix one pkg of cream cheese and coolwhip together and put that over some jello chocolate instant pudding, then top with crushed oreo cookies. Then you can top it however you like.
It taste better than just having the pudding.

Last year I made several tombstone shaped cookies, and stuck them to the top of a store-bought mudcake, then covered the base with black, orange and grey star cookies (we a few pumpkin and bat shaped cookies using stencils, but it took way too long so I just ended up smooshing all the dough together and using a star cookie-cutter.) Here's a pic:
This year I'm planning on making a similar cake, with more tombstones, a homemade baking dish chocolate cake, and if I can be bothered, a black fence.
You can use this idea if you like.

love the witch cake! I've yet to make a Halloween cake, we just had cupcakes at last years party but this year I plan to experiment. While looking for cake ideas a few weeks ago I found this

Did you watch the other videos on that link too? The Talking Head and singing Pumkins are just stunning!
William, nothing can stop you from making your own cake I saw one yesterday that was a simple round spider cake with licorice for the legs.
