Okay...who's ready to talk Halloween?

Post by johnsoneliza52 » Wed Jan 20, 2016 8:03 pm

We've semi-decided on a theme for this year...yes, already.
We've thought and looked, and studied
IT CAN BE DONE!!!
After all, we did the castle, and the old west town...
Clowns were a big hit, but didn't require the backdrop like this will.
I've had a few fails...what if this is another?..After all the work this will require?
Is it worth it?
Shall we TRY?

A roman Colosseum theme huh? Now that would be interesting.
You could probably have skeletons dressed like roman soldiers as gladiator victims. Don't forget they had animals in there as well. Some people had to fight lions. That must have been scary!
I would do some research on what Rome was like during that era, and I bet you'll have a successful theme. ^^ Maybe think about some of the legends and lore of the time. I think the Romans adopted a lot from the Greeks.

Here's a list of Greek and Roman creatures that you might be able to add to your theme: http://www.gods-and-monsters.com/list-o ... tures.html

Hey look, Vampires, Zombies and Werewolves are listed. And I bet you could have a Medusa in there as well, and think about some of the scary things that they believed back then. After all, it's not Halloween without a little scare right?

Personally I'm not quite ready to discuss Halloween yet. I want to get through this dreadful winter weather first. But I don't mind throwing out suggestions either. :)

Ohhh Medusa!!! Awesome idea!!
Thanks for the link, too! I figure we have to start early to gather up supplies. We spent quite a bit on the clowns last year, definitely can't repeat that.
