We start putting up all of our interior decorations on labor day and the exterior decorations start going up the last weekend of September. But the planning never stops

Like our pal slightlymad, the planning starts November 1st every year. Working on things starts after the first of the year usually, decorating inside the house depends on my other projects -- could start late August, or sometime in September, and the outside can't start until October 1st because of the HOA rules and <deleted>.

I am so excited, my official start date is August 1st. I bought my first piece of the season on Saturday, and Wednesday I switch out my Maine Moose coffee mug for my Jack O'Lantern one until November 1st. And I think my husband is convinced we need to start collecting Lemax Spookytown stuff. He saw it at Michael's and he really liked it.

I don't know how you guys can wait until October 1st, I'm a maniac by then.
I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.

September 1st: I start the real planning stage. Drawing out maps of the front yard, indoor party decorations, guest lists, etc.
September 15th: I *slowly* begin to order all my supplies.
October 1st: Start creating the rest of my props.
October 15th: Invitations go out.

I don't how about anyone else, but Halloween really takes place all of October for me.
