The Necklace - A Tale of Mystery

Post by tomanderson » Wed Aug 15, 2007 12:08 am

Here is a ghost story I wrote...hope you enjoy it!

I parked just in front of the courtyard, and just as I got out of the car I heard the front door of the place squeak open.

I started for the ruins, trying to keep the image of the money in my head, and resolving to think no more about the questionable aspects of this task until I was well on my way down the road and unlikely to turn back.

I opened my eyes, immediately aware that my forehead throbbed, and that I was soaking wet and cold. I lay uncomfortably in an outcropping of tall grass. It was dark, and raining!

Just finished, and am totally impressed. Very well done, tomanderson. I could see every little detail in my mind. The suspense was wonderful. Have you ever published anything??
