At the risk of sounding like a stereotypical old man, is it just me or were commercials/cartoons/movies/decorations better back in the 80's? I'm sure nostalgia is blurring my opinion, but all those commercials are just embedded in my mind while the ones I see on an everyday basis this day and age I don't even notice, much less remember.

LOL at the Toys R' Us one... omg I laughed so hard at that.. it's the weakness of the

"Toys R' Us has the Big Bird costume.........................and the Yoda costume................. for trick or treating."

It's funny for so many reasons! Including, but not limited to:

1) The costumes are for characters that have nothing to do with Halloween
2) The costumes don't really look anything like the characters (omg..since when is Yoda blue??)
3) The whole advert is to show only TWO costumes.. what a selection!?
4) They add "for trick or treating" just in case people hadn't got the Halloween references in the advert and were confused as to why they would want costumes!

That was so cute and so old.. aaaahhhh bless
