Ok, I'm totally Arachnophobic, <deleted>! So with that being said, "Laurie Strode, where is this place Haddonfield that you live in?" Because I'm very sorry but that's one State I think I will have to pass over. My Lord Woman, JackRyan592, isn't kidding, those are some serious Amazon Looking Spiders, good lord, and the Size and Bright colours, I could hardly stand reading the posts, had to pop an Ativan when I came across them, really!
So ya, Spiders top my list 100%, sure there are other creppy crawlers that gross me out, but Spiders, well lets just say, I'm Terrified of them.

Laurie Strode

Yeah, believe me y'all, I don't like them either! But still I didn't want any harm to come to them, so we let 'em stay, but we all kept our distance...actually the yellow one did meet her demise under my car tire one morning, because I didn't see her there (think it was a her, 'cause she left an egg we got rid of).

We live in North Georgia, right next to a wildlife preserve and woodland area, I think that's where they come from.

My apologies for the hugeness of the images, I just learned to post pictures yesterday and wasn't sure what sizes to use. :)

Pretty much anything with more than 4 legs
This probably isn't relevant, but over here we have "Adelaide hills scorpions"
Image
They're seriously that small. Most of them I see are only 1 or 2 inches long.

The more legs it has, the louder I scream!

Hey ooga_booga, Yep, that's one gross photo  I sure hope those don't live anywhere near your homes or in the city, are they just up in the hills? I hope so.

Dr Strange

I got stung by a scorpion that size while living in Texas. Felt like getting hit with a white hot ball peen hammer, then my hand swelled like a football in about 5-10 minutes.

OUCH!!!

We lived in New Mexico for a while, and my neighbors had a boxfan in their garage that a scorpion crawled up in (one about the size as your picture earlier in thread) and we could hear its tail making a clicking sound off the blades and see it up in there....creepy!

As far as I know, they do just live up in the hills. And I live in the hills, too. And I do come across one once in a while, but since they're not as big as other breeds of scorpion (they're usually only 1 or 2 inches long), I don't find them too scary.
