HIPPIELUVN'S HALLOWEEN HORRORTHON 2023

It's that time of year and I'm happy to see that you all found this new/old destination too...

Took me a while and some investigation, asking around, but here I am ready to rock and roll...

My wife and I moved back to the USA from Morocco in July...

We had a great time there and love the Moroccan people...

We are so sad to hear news from there of the bad earthquake...

Our many friends are all safe and well, just rattled by the event...

Image

So, Uncle Sam has sent me back to NYC for a few more years...

I love New York -- it's an amazing, vibrant city, never boring...

To kick off this year's HHH - my 15th year :!: :!: :!:

Image

Tonight, my wife and I watched HUBIE HALLOWEEN on Netflix

Damn dude!!!! You still doing these?!? I know I haven't been around for, what? 10 years but it's nice to see a slice of the old times.

Edit: I finally watched Hubie last year. I dug it! I have a recommendation for you, "Cobweb" (2023). Spooky, atmospheric, and likely to become a yearly watch.

Yeah I can't give it up - have a great time doing this each year! :D

How are you? It's great to see some of the old timers still here...

Thought they'd finally killed our forum when my link wouldn't work...

So I emailed halloween.com and they gave me the new address...

I'm sure some of the old timers have likely just given up though...

You're so old, you fart dust.

Even so, glad to see you.
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

Welcome back! Looking forward to seeing what you've been screening. :)

Hard to believe it's been that long. Where's the time gone?

I know I was away for several years, but I finally made my way back and getting into the Halloween spirit.

Perhaps you'll have some good recommendations to screen for the season! :)

I'm still hanging in there, much to the chagrin of my doctors. They keep trying to convince me Im gonna die if I don't do what they sa. What do they know?

I never gave up on Halloween. Went to Reddit for a while but their forum has gone too commercial recently.

I was banned from reddit a few years back.

They never tell you why, they just pull your plug.

In my opinion they became a cage full of **** flinging monkeys a long time ago.

Been busy for last few weeks with UN General Assembly...

But still found time to watch a few shows and movies...

This year, I'm feeling a Dracula theme taking shape...

DRACULA (1931)

LOVE AT FIRST BITE (1979)

Have you watched 'A Vampire in Brooklyn '?

A surprisingly good Eddie Murphy movie.

I haven't seen that one.

I've seen Love at First Bite and own the '31 Dracula. I'll need to look up the documentary.

Tonight, I saw THE SHARK IS BROKEN, a Broadway show about the making of JAWS (1975)
And stage actor Ian Shaw is an absolute dead-ringer for his late, great father Robert Shaw :!:
