Ghost Grilled Cheese

These are super easy to make:
1) make a grilled cheese sandwich
2) use a ghost shaped cookie cutter to cut out the ghost shape

My wife wanted to make these for last year's shindig and I told her we have so much food no one is going to want grilled cheese on top of everything else. She decided to ignore me and make them anyway. Guess what everyone had at least one. Shows what I know eh? i didn't think of making grill cheeses for anything hahaha i may do this for one of our parties

Grilled chese sanwiches are a nice easy way to prepare a pretty decent meal. I prefer to use rhy bread or that thick cut French Toast bread. American cheese is the norm, but I often go with a sharp chedder or swiss.

Yes, you do have to put butter or margerine on the breat, and then when you fry it up, use butter or margerine to fry it in.

Munster, Cheddar, Swiss, and American are the 3 best cheeses to use. I personaly like grilled Swiss cheese on Rhy or popernickle. Real butter is also better then margerine, but for health reasons I only treat myself to that once in a great while.

hahahha no i haven't seen it but that sounds funny. Johnny Depp makes me laugh so i can just picture it lol

Not me. I've done some things that some people would think of as "gross." I've roasted hot dogs in my livingroom fireplace, I've microwaved peanutbutter on toast to get it to melt into the bread, and I've even used duct tape to mend a torn bed sheat once, but a cloths iron is just not suited to be used as a cooking utensel IMHO. Cloths Irons often have spray starch and other chemicals on them that were used to get wrinkles out of cloths, and those chemicals do little to enhance the flavor of a grilled cheese sanwich. You would be better off using a blow torch. It's very spotty and you have to work hard to cook the sanwich evenly, but at least the gas won't "flavor" your food.

i use clothes hangers for smores, roasted hotdogs, heck i'll give the grill cheese a go lol if i get sick you guys will be the first to know lol

I have also used wire hangers to roast hot dogs and marshmellows, but I allways sterilized them in the fire before inpaling any hot dogs or marshmellows on them. Now a days, I use a regular meat fork ductaped to an old broom handle for distance. I inpale the hot dog on the tines of the fork, and then from a nice safe distance, roast my hotdog until done to perfection. Best Kosher or Oscar Meyer are the best way to go IMHO.

As for grilling a cheese sanwich with a cloths iron, well I would thourghly wash that thing before putting in contact with my food.

Like I said, I would be relly sure that cloths iron was really REALLY clean of any spray startch or other ironing chemicals before using it on my foot. Better yet, put a piece of aluminum foil on top of the sanwich and then put the iron on the aluminum foil, or put a pice of aluminum foil over the cloths iron.

Personaly a good 'olf fashioned' frying pan is the best way IMHO. A griddle would actualy be better come to think of it, but since I don't own a griddle, I'll stick with a frying pan.

Hey, don't get me wrong. When it comes to cooking, I've done a lot of improvising in my day. I even used a disposable baking pan as a colander by preferating the bottom of it with a meat fork once. I use duct tape for everything from taping a meat fork to a broom stick so I can use it to roast hot dogs over an open fire, all the way down to mending bed sheats. So I guess I'm not one to talk. It's just the idea of a cloths iron in contact with my food does not sit well with me.

Love both these ideas!

As for cooking with a clothes iron--I haven't seen the film, but I'm guessing that was just a stunt for a movie. I doubt Johnny Depp would do that in real life!
