Little Halloween on All Saints Day?

Post by iHaunt » Mon Oct 05, 2009 2:21 pm

I heard some people were talking about little Halloween on All Saints Day (November 1st). They love to lit the candle inside their pumpkins, turn on all Halloween lights and everything again at night on All Saints Day.

So how about you guys? I do the same thing myself. :D

My decoations go up in very late September, and stay up through the 2nd of November. I also light my pumpkins and decorations on Halloween, All Saints Day and All Souls Day. For me, however, "Little Halloween" is ANY TIME the 13th of ANY MONTH falls on a Friday. When ever it's Friday the 13th, I celebrate "Little Halloween" by putting out a plastic jack o'lantern and screening a horror movie, usualy a classic monster movie or a supernatural type of a thriller.

This year's final "Little Halloween" is going to be on November 13th.

I do agree with you, Pumpkinman!

So, should we say "All Saints Day" for the morning and the noon? And we should say "All Souls Day" for the evening and the late nite on November 1st? I believe I will put everything up after the 2nd day of November.

And also, if that movie "Friday The 13th Part 2" remake/sequel is on its way on August 13, 2010, then it will be a big fun "Little Halloween Of 2010!" :D Maybe I will be putting out a little bit Halloween decorations there for a while, then I will add some more in September before October! :D

sounds like a plan to me iHaunt
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

And also, on Friday The 13th in August 2010 I will put a few fake jack-o-lanterns in my bedroom, and some in another bedroom upstairs on the windows. :)

August is just close enough to start thinking about Halloween, and some stores have their Halloween merchandise out at that time. Unfortunately, the year 2010 is going to only have one "Little Halloween." As for the remake of "Friday the 13th," I don't know if you've seen any of the originals or not, but IMHO the remake that came out last Winter was a MAJOR disappointment. Of course, I was expecting a prequil, not a simple remake which is what it was. But all in all, if you want to watch a "Friday the 13th" movie on Friday August 13th of 2010, I would suggest the original.

And, please don't forget about "Friday The 13th Part 2" remake! I hope it will come out on August 13, 2010. ;)

If they are going to do a remake of "Friday the 13th Part 2," I hope they do a better job then they did with the remake of Part 1. I would like to see a better developed story of Jason Vorhees rather then just a simple remake of an already classic horror film. If you ask me, Hollywood seems to be running out of original ideas, so they try to remake all the old classics. That's not to say that's allways a bad thing. Some movies need a remake, but I would like to see some new stories that have not yet been adapted to the screen done into movies.

Take Bachelors Grove for instance. There are a lot fo great stories about that place. The legends surrounding Bachelors Grove are screamin to be made into a movie. I'm sure that there are all kinds of local legends that would make for some great movie watching of Hollywood would shell out the bucks instead of rehashign all the old classics.

Nope. We're talking about the part 2 remake, not the original remake.

Friday The 13th Part 2 remake will come out on August 13, 2010. From what I did read on other forums as well as the rumors too. ;)
