That is really cool- very realistic! I've never seen anything like that - just the cottony stuff people spread apart that's supposed to look like webs. No contest compared to these!

really?? you've never seen these types of webs?

Well, I'm glad I could post something new :)

I use both the fluffy stuff and the liquid stuff you see pictured up there. Here is an example of me using the fluffy stuff.

and here you can just see the webbing holding up the skull

those webs look really good spooky... where did you say you got that web gun/fan?
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Adrian, I got it from a company that isnt around anymore, but, I was talking to my wife tonight and told her I'd like to make a newer web shooter similar to mine, if I do, would you be interested in one, or anyone else?
I like mine but it isnt the easiest to clean, so I am thinking of making a new one thats easier to clean.

Great webs! It's so hard to get that thin spread with the bagged webs.
Oh, your so cool, Brewster!

Very cool cobweb pics! I find that the packaged cobwebs can be a major pain-in-the-rear to hang. It's an acquired skill to get the right look. They can bunch up and it looks like you have giant cotton wads. Or, as you're stretching it, it sort of twists together, giving a crissed-crossed look in some places. Also, it will cling to what you don't need it to cling to, but won't catch where you need it to. It does great grabbing onto trees, but when you're decorating inside, it doesn't always grab the corners of entryways, etc., if the paint on the doorframe is too slick, as well as your mantle paint. You have to find clever starting points for your web and use things such as underneath switch plates, etc. Also, you have to be careful of what you use to anchor it onto, such as a mantle decoration or lampshade because while you're trying stretch it you can pull down whatever it's anchored to depending on what it is. There seems to be a technique involved in getting the webs up and having them look right. It took me about two hours to successfully web my formal living room, but I finally got it and am happy with the results. :alien:

What, exactly, is the material that makes the actual webbing? does it clean up easily?

it is Elmers liquid cement thinned a little with paint thinner, it comes off easily but I dont know if I would shoot it all over my house, maybe I'll try it and see....it should come off inside as well, but I would want to test it in a small area first. The "web" is really sticky until it dries.
