SHADOW PEOPLE

Post by Corvus Kulde » Sun Oct 25, 2009 4:28 am

I have always been one to believe in ghosts and the paranormal. As a kid I read all the books and watched the documentaries with bated breath. The thing that never once occurred to me was how normal seeing a "ghost" can be.
My wife and I saw a shadow person at the same time. We were going to her mothers house for a visit. As we approached the house we saw a very distinct silhouette in the window. It stood and seemed to peer out of the window blinds at us. Then it dashed away from the window.
The thing is we simply assumed it was a family member in the house who had seen us and was unlocking the door. We waited. Then we knocked on the door. There was no response. At this point we were thinking someone in the house was playing around and we were getting annoyed. We were on the point of shouting at the door when the light and sound of a car pulling in the drive turned our heads. It was her mother and the family member we suspected of playing stupid pranks. We hadn't noticed that their car wasn't in the drive when we arrived.
Now we were thinking someone had broken in to the house. We ran up to the car telling them what we had seen. They confirmed that no one else was home. A search of the house showed no sign of it having been broken or entered into.
It was only after this point that they said," Oh, yea..We have seen this shadow guy in the house a few times. He's harmless." I gathered my jaw up from the linoleum and found reasons to leave early. We tried to recreate the scene ,but it was simply impossible to make a silhouette of the size, clarity, and density we had seen.
All of this said...Have you seen the shadow people? They are something of a new phenomenon in the paranormal literature. New but prolific. I had heard of them before, but never expected to see one. Looking on it now I see how our sighting was textbook stuff where "Shadow Folk" are concerned. You see them, they see you seeing them, and they run away. Most are like featureless human silhouettes, however, some people have reported them wearing hats. (I know how that sounds)
The long and short is WE SAW ONE. Have any of you?
Oh, your so cool, Brewster!
Hey, Butchy. They still got Oreo's next door?
Dracula's in the house!!! In the house?!
Welcome to the party, Honey!

Very awesome! I would love to have that experience.
I listen to the coast to coast radio show, and they discuss them alot.
Very creepy, but what an experience!

I haven't, but I did see The Shadow with Alec Baldwin.

I would not recommend it.

I have loved the C2C show for years, but I had to stop listening. Most shows these days are doom and gloom, but that's were most of the info you can find on Shadow people comes from.
As far as seeing one...truth be told I wouldn't want any of you nice people to see one because bad things tend to happen where they appear. That's the consensus based on the stories I have heard and from our own experience.
The first place I heard of "shadow entities" was in the work concerning the self proclaimed "demon hunters" Ed & Lorraine Warren. Of course their take on it was that these blacker than black ghosts were indeed demons. I can't say that this was the case for us but there were many parallels between the demons of their case work and the activities of the "shadow man " in our instance.
It was only later that I came to hear of other things that happened in the home and to its inhabitants. One such instance I'll share here involved my wife. (who was visiting at the time) She was heading into the kitchen to make breakfast one morning and found it in ruins. Every cabinet and shelf was emptied out on the floor. The contents of the refrigerator were emptied out and smeared on the floor with the broken glass and plates.
Obviously no one in the house took credit for the mess. The strange part was that a family member later told her they had dreamed of going into the kitchen for a drink in the night. In this dream they encountered a small human shaped silhouette sitting on the counter and smiling at them. They said it didn't have a face so to speak, but they could sense it smiling at them. They couldn't remember what happened next in the dream. A strange thing indeed.
Trust me, I know how it all sounds ,but this is a hand to god moment on my part. These things happened and more besides. I am legitimately interested in anyone else's similar experiences. The next time I see one of the paranormal biggies let it be something simple like Bigfoot. Oh...and MacPhantom is so totally right about The Shadow.

No problem. I'm interested to hear about your experience. My grandmother told me she saw an orb of golden-white light on her bedroom wall on each of the three nights following the death of my grandfather. She looked for the source and there was none. She said she felt he was trying to comfort her. He was a good man and I could see him wanting to make sure she was ok.

DANG ME- Roger Miller
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Did one tell you a lie or something?

I don't believe democrats and whacko liberals...especially ones from Chicago/Illinois.
