HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY to everyone

Post by adrian » Wed Nov 11, 2009 8:44 am

well... happy veteran's day.. and if the schools around you guys are like the ones around here... Happy 'the Kids are at home all day' to you 'rents lol ! any one have any plans?
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Happy Veteran's Day to you too!

Aww, that's sucked! My mother isn't at school, but can't wait until spring 2010 she will move out! :D

My husband is a veteran and went to school wearing all of his medals. (No, schools are not out around here, and my husband is a teacher.) He looked exceptionally handsome this morning.

We lived at Ft. Hood when we were newlyweds (early '80s), so what happened there last week hit us pretty hard.

Happy Veteran's Day, and best wishes, especially to those who have served. Like mothers, I hope we all take more than just one day a year to appreciate all that they have done for us and given to us. And Murfreesboro, please give your husband my most heartfelt thanks for his service. Everything we have, and everything we hold dear, is thanks to the sacrifices of our brave enlisted men and women, and their families who give them up to us.

The same, Murfreesboro. Give your hubby our thanks, and our condolences for those lost at Ft. Hood.

Happy Veteran's Day, everyone!
