What do you like to decorate with? That bucket of blood?

fence lamps

Post by Spookymufu » Sun Nov 15, 2009 8:27 am

in my many travels across the net I cam upon these lamps, they look great and seem to be made of mason jars, or re-sealable glass jars of some kind......I plan to re-create these next year :)

these look great spook.. on my grand fathers farm we have an endless supply of mason jars of different sizes and shapes
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

I love the way it looks, simple but yet very spooky.

It looks like these lights we saw in the swamps in Louisiana. Homemade and great!

I have seen that type of jar with the metal clasp and tight seal top sold at Michael's. What is the light source...? A votive candle?

if I had to guess, I would say he frosted the glass then used a yellow electric lightbulb or flicker light in them.

It looks as if the supports are twine so an open flame would certainly be the wrong light source.

Prepare for death & follow me.
