What does Halloween mean to you?

Obviously, Halloween has some greater meaning to the people roaming these forums otherwise they wouldn't be here. Please, enlighten me.

for me it's the planning and decorating I like best, and I like seeing my kids all dressed up and having fun.

For me, It is the whole of the season. Halloween represents everything Fall. I find beauty in everything Halloween! It is so wonderful. Halloween has no expectations. It is just full of fun, family, food. It is a time for everyone to be someone they dream of being. When the only goal is to make someone laugh (or scream)

I know everyone here understands me when I say, I can't stop planning or creating in my mind Halloween ideas. Even when the season is past, I still think about next year. I don't think about Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day, no other day like I do Halloween.

It is me.

In a nutshell, for me, Halloween is many things, but most of all, it's the most fun day of the year. It's a day of reliving some of the best memories of my childhood, I love giving otu TOT candy, and it's a time that I can carve jack o'lanterns and try to be creative.

It's my favorite day of the year.

I think of the crisp fall air. Quiet nights. I enjoy the sunny days that are nor very warm. Changing of the leaves. The Halloween music, the decorations.

Halloween to me is seeing the kids trick or treating, The decorations, costume parties, the smell in the air, fall in general is just my fave season. The changing of the leaves, chill in the air, there's just a certain smell. I don't know if this is just me, but Halloween has a certain "smell" to me. I can't really describe it. I love when the stored just start to get in all their Halloween stuff October is my fave month..and Halloween is, always has been, and always will be my favorite holiday.

A friend at work offered to take me on an all-expense paid trip this fall to photograph the change of seasons in New England.
