The ORIGINAL Frankenstein

Post by MacPhantom » Sun Mar 14, 2010 3:01 am

Until tonight, I would have thought the original Frankenstein movie was the version with Boris Karloff; I would have been wrong. The true, FIRST movie of Frankenstein is one hundred years old, and was made by Thomas Edison!

Watch it, and tell me that's not a creepy monster!!

Wow, that is pretty creepy, I like the colors and the way the film flickers cuz it's so old, it adds to the creep factor. I wouldn't want to be stuck in the same room with him that's for sure LOL

I have a hard time getting into black and white movies with sound, but I love silent movies. Even ones that aren't supposed to be horror movies I find creepy, because of the wide, expressive over-acting, and the knowledge that pretty much everyone in the movie and anyone who worked on the movie is now dead.

Everyone in silent movies had weird eyes......

He's funny as in "do you smell something funny?"

Tell you what, though. As a near-ginger myself, I gotta thank the guy for giving red-headed freaks the world over somebody to point to and say "Hey, I may be a ginger, but at least I'm not Carrot Top!"

Now that looked great!!
I never knew that existed. I love bloody-disgusting.com!

I am in the same camp with the rest of you...silent movies have always creeped me out.
Great for watching with all the lights out. ;)

Oh yeah, the Mack-daddy of vampires, right there.

Have you watched 'Shadow Of The Vampire' with Malkovitch and Dafoe?

Nice pics, you guys!

I haven't seen 'Shadow of the Vampire', Andy. Is it any good?
