I think can lanterns are cool, and I've never tried that before... maybe I am going to make like some of this.

I did a version of this. I filled cans with water and put them in the freezer. When it iced up I just took a nail and hammer and made designs all over. You can also just put in a piece of wood if the ice is melting too much, keeps it from collapsing.
