Props for 2007

Post by ghostess » Tue May 08, 2007 6:59 pm

I don't see a prop thread anywhere, so I figure I'll start one here.

I made some fake rocks for my cemetery:

And finished up my skull project for my scarecrow for this year:

Ghostess,

You made awesome props!! I really liked them very much! I think I am going to do the rock props myself this year, well, not so sure about skull head prop because I have plenty of skulls and skeletons in the barn.

Anyways, what else are you going to do to make another prop for this year? Maybe some more props?

I've got a whole pirate crew to make, and a replica of Davy Jones (the Cthulhu version from PotC), a mermaid, a ship.... the list goes on...
Plus all new tombstones with pirate epitaphs, a tree for my dining room to replace the one I took apart, a tree stump for my trash can trauma that I made with the Florida Haunters Group, plenty of groundbreaker corpses, etc. I have a LOT of props to make this year. THat's the only bad part about changing themes from year to year.

I'm pretty sure you are the most talented Halloweiner I have EVER SEEN.

(Either that or you really ARE a witch, and all this is accomplished with a flick of the wand, and the how-to pics are just to throw us off the trail....)

I've been bugging the husband to buy another storage shed for behind our house. We live in a town house, so there isn't a huge amount of storage, and most of it is already taken up by my Halloween stuff. :? But ghostess has inspired me, especially the papier mache stuff, and I need a space big enough to a) work on it and 2) store it. SO another small building out back sound about right to me :D

THank you everybody. :)

MHooch-- you can NEVER have enough storage!! If I could, I'd have a huge shed outside, one big enough to have a work bench and stuff in with air conditioning. Sometimes I really hate living in a neighborhood with a HOA and rules.

We just finished a second 10x10 storage shed but more to the subject all props are currently in a partially finished state and hiding in the corner refusing to come out and have their picture taken.

Ok, so I can honestly say that I am becoming certifiable here soon! I am trying to really get my garden looking good and I need Michael's to bring out their Halloween Decor so I can accomplish my goals  Man I hope they tell me its out when I call next week. Why next week, well Hubby leaves to go back to work 3am Friday Morning, well ok maybe I'll call on Saturday

Has anyone noticed any Michael's down there with their Halloween stuff out yet?
