Aw hell, Arizona's got that dry heat. I love it more than the humid 103 degree weather we get in Texas.
But we all know how years seem to go by so fast. Seems like yesterday it was Christmas, and we're half way through the year already. Halloween's right around the corner.

I know...just hard to be in the "holiday" mood when you are dying of heat!

I'm in Oklahoma and I know how you feel! It's been over 100 since Easter. And no rain!

It is kind of hard to think about Halloween when it's so hot and humid, and we've had a bit of a heat wave around my neck of the woods lately, all though not nearly 110 or 103.

But right now I'm thinking more in terms of a trip to the Warren Dunes then carving jack o'lanterns and putting up the 'spookies.'

I'm thinking about buying a box of super-sized Butterfingers and eating them until I puke to get into the spirit.

The best way for me to get a little of that Halloween spirit is to watch one of my video taped "Dark Shadows" episodes, or another horror movie, or go to this forum.

But as I said before, I am very much lokking forward to my vacation at the end of July and beginning of August, and am thinking more in terms of the Warren Dunes then in terms of "The Blair Witch Project" and Bela Lugosi.

But you know something? A 'haunted road trip" is not exactly out of the proverbial quesion. In fact, I probably will visit a haunted place and shoot some photos on my way there or home. Michigan has a lot of haunted places to see.

Here in Virginia near the beach, only about 2 or 3 times hot temperature like 100 - 103 degree... it's just like Florida! So I wish to live in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina or Miami, Florida. :D 8)

Bah! Johnsoneliza, tough it out. I'm a 'Zonie too (lived in AZ for close to 30 yrs) and I worked on Halloween all weekend!

That big haboob that ripped through P-town last week should have been Halloween inspiring. I mean there's nothing like a giant wall of dust blowing into town to remind you of the Mummy movies and ancient Egyptian curses. Bwahaha!

... not to mention the smoke and flames from the BIG Monument, Horseshoe2 and Wallow fires-- akin to some strange and tangible HELL on EARTH!

... and so much for that "dry heat"-- it's monsoon season, which means it's hot AND humid. It's rained more this week than in the last two months (of course, it did end a 90-day stretch w/out rain).... and I find the microbursts just downright AWESOME-- even if I was without power for 12 hours in 90-degree-humid weather last week. =P

Visit a couple craft stores, they should be putting their fall merchandise out...

Just remember, with monsoons out there-- curl up with a "dark and stormy night" book... by candlelight if you've no electricity! Nothing beats good old Arizona Monsoon season! Whee!

thats the only things I liked about living in Phoenix......The monsoons were really cool to watch, as long as I was driving or walking in them...
