Trick R Treat Shout out

Post by ScarecrowJack » Thu Jul 28, 2011 9:11 pm

I've just recently joined this site, but have been lurking here for a few years. I wanted to give a shout out to the folks who recommended Trick R Treat. I can't remember who it was anymore, but based on the recommendations I purchased it the moment I found a copy. I was stunned. It's an amazing movie I may not have found if I hadn't read about it here. So, even though I don't remember the specific people who recommended it, THANK YOU!!
We're the farmer's scarecrows
We scare away the birds,
We keep the farmer's corn safe
Without any words.
But when Halloween comes
We jump out of the ground
And we scare the boys and girls
When they come walking 'round.

I'll just go out on a limb and say it was me who told you about it. I'll take credit in the form of cash, money order, or pay-pal.

And you're welcome.

I just watched that a few minutes ago actually. I didn't hear about it on this site, but I found it looking around on IMDb. I was very impressed, especially with the schoolbus scene and the final scene. What a great way to kick off the new season! Here's to three months left!

How about sincere adulation? And maybe some straw and crows?

We recently watched this movie for my horror movie night and we all thought it was pretty awful! Well, maybe just the little pumpkin devil thing! LOL

I really love this movie too, i like the kind of movies that have the stories that tie in together. I might go watch this again on netflix now.

I really dig this movie too. Since I bought it it's pretty much at the top of my Halloween playlist.

It's awful as a horror film because it isn't really that scary, but in capturing the essence of Halloween and bringing top-notch nostalgia and mood to the holiday, it excels brilliantly!

I wasnt crazy about it the first time I watched it either, but once you watch it a few times and take everything in, it's pretty good

Theres a lot to "see" in this movie that you might miss the first time

I may have to do that, but I used Netflix so it will have to wait. I will say that I loved the way they filmed it at least.

This has become my favorite Halloween movie. Discovered it in early July and I've already watched it 3 times!

It is pretty light on content but it's one of the most beautifully photographed movies ever, not just about Halloween but up there with stunners like Lawrence of Arabia.

The lighting and colors make it seem like a dutch master painting at times.

I know everyone is saying it isn't too scary, but how about gore? I love a good creepy scary movie, but the over the top gore they have in today's horror movies turn me off. Kind of want to watch this anyway though, I always see people mentioning it here.
