Looking for food suggestions

Post by ScarecrowJack » Fri Jul 29, 2011 6:06 pm

The theme for my Halloween party this year is the Autumn Carnival (I LOVE Something Wicked This Way Comes, both the novel and the movie). I'm looking for suggestions on how to Halloween up some traditional fair/carnival foods. Any suggestions?
We're the farmer's scarecrows
We scare away the birds,
We keep the farmer's corn safe
Without any words.
But when Halloween comes
We jump out of the ground
And we scare the boys and girls
When they come walking 'round.

Dye either the batter or the powdered sugar for your funnel cake orange. Or dye the cake batter black, and the sugar orange.

Carnival food?... here's a quick brainstorm:
Hotdogs, corndogs, cotton candy, roasted peanuts, pretzels, churros, popcorn/kettlecorn, pickles, redvines, ice-cream, popsicles and Big League Chew (Bubblegum).

I did miss the part about "Halloweening-up" the food... but I've seen some Halloween/Carnival related Halloween themes that make me think you don't need to Halloween it up... just make the theme Halloween... Haunted Carnival, Freak Show, Scariest Show on Earth.... If you really need to, give the food names.

Pretzel Bites could be "Zombie Toes". Kettlecorn is "Halloween" enough, IMO... I dunno what else.
