No... Anthony Stewart Head is not dead, but the character he helped create on 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' is. It seems they killed Giles off in the comic book. Here is ASH's reaction to the development...

OMG, you gave me a start with this one. I am a Merlin fan (never watched Buffy, I guess it came on opposite something else I watched back then). Anyway, Anthony Head plays King Uther in Merlin. That would really put an end to the series, I think (if he'd died), because Merlin is set up like Smallville--all the key actors are playing "when they were young," so King Uther (Arthur's dad) is the opposition.

Buffy was great I wish they would kind of make a new show with it then that might be one show that has new people i would be interested in.
