Not much that The Great Pumpkin can't fix.

Post by Nostalgiascape » Wed May 30, 2007 12:22 am

I just got the Peanuts Holiday Collection in the mail today. Just now I sat down and watched It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. And the bad day I was having, melted away.

Right on!!! I watched that, myslef, not that long ago, that and the 'History Channel's Haunted History of Halloween'. Both are great for melting away just about anything that ails you.

I agree about the Great Pumpkin, in fact, I have the Great Pumpkin Waltz on CD, and just listening to it can make me step away from the ledge. Sometimes work and life just get so hectic, you need a little bit of Linus in your life.

The Great Pumpkin Waltz. man I want that so bad bro. And yes, everyone could use the optomism of a young boy that believes that even good things can come from a floating pumpkin.

That's why my kitten's name is Linus VanPelt. His middle name is Torvalds, after the guy who invented the Linux operating system, but he's definitely named for the Great Pumpkin character.

Still, I miss the guy. Had to find him a new owner when I moved to AZ.

I love the I got a rock, but my all time favorite scene is when Charlie Brown puts on his ghost costume and Lucy says, Oh Good Grief. Then later Charlie says, "I had a little trouble with the scissors."
