Beat the Post-Halloween Blues
I've finally discovered a way to beat the post-Halloween blues. All you have to do is have a year where you don't get to do anything for Halloween that you really wanna do, and you won't get depressed on November 1st!
It does make for a suckier Halloween. But then, there's always next year!!!

That's pretty much how it went for me. Between work, working on the house, and doing Halloween projects for other people I didn't do anything I wanted.
Grimm's on. Gotta go!

Re: Beat the Post-Halloween Blues
I don't get the post Halloween blues. I love the entire Halloween season, and I am allways a little sad when I pack the decoratins away for the year, but whey you're my age, a year just isn't that big of a deal any more. It seems that only yesterday I was sweating the Summer swelpter, and cruising around on my new Harley. And shortly before that I was digging out of 11 inches of snow and cleaning up my junk room. 2011 has really flown by, and I believe 2012 is going to fly by at least as fast.
The good news, however, is that we will be afforded 3 oportunities to observe "Little Halloween," as the 13th of January, April and July all fall on Fridays. In January, it will be a great way to beat the post Christmas Winter blues. In April, the 13th is right after Easter. In fact, I think Friday April 13this actualy Easter Friday (a week after Good Friday) so that will be a fun way to observe the half way point to the 'big day' itself. Then on Friday July 13th, not only will it be Summer and good motorcycling weather, but I will be off work due to it being 'flexible summer hours,' and if I handle my finances right, I might even be able to afford a 'haunted road trip,' during the day, and then come home to a fake jack o'lantern and a horror movie at night. July is also the busiest month at the local movie theatre for horror movie releases, so I might even go out to a horror movie on July 13th.
At any rate, the only time of the year that I actualy get "the blues," is during those long dead Winter months of January and February. Thank God for "Little Halloween" on Friday Jan 13th next year.

That's the best part of this site ; post Halloween group therapy.
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

Whiskey helps...
They say that life's a carousel
Spinning fast, you've got to ride it well
The world is full of kings and queens
Who blind your eyes and steal your dreams
Its heaven and hell, oh well
I am Vengeance...I am the Night!
I swear to God...[Batman]SWEAR to Me!!

Re: Beat the Post-Halloween Blues
Like I said, I don't get any Post holiday "blues" of any kind, be it Halloween, Christmas, Easter or what ever, but there is one sure fire way to fight them. Just think of all the "Little Halloweens" we are going to have in 2012.

Mike, I could second every word of your longer post up there. At my age, the years just whip by. It's never too long until anything happens.
I think I may take up your tradition of "Little Halloweens" this year. It sounds like fun.
