Yikes...

They say that life's a carousel
Spinning fast, you've got to ride it well
The world is full of kings and queens
Who blind your eyes and steal your dreams
Its heaven and hell, oh well

I am Vengeance...I am the Night!

I swear to God...[Batman]SWEAR to Me!!

A sign of the times, where life is disposable. I've been saying for some time that the human race needs a culling. Maybe that's why I'm paying attention to all this end-of-the-world chatter?

^^ This

people dont regard life as precious as they once did, life means little to nothing with these new generations.
Also, it just proves that most people will do anything if they know they wont get caught.

If we ever lose our ability to enforce laws, forget it, the human race is done.....

These are more examples of people who should have a welding torch shoved in their mouths. Why would ANYONE ever do a thing like that. That is exactly the reason for all the fear mongering and assinine laws curtailing ToT.

He noticed that a candy wrapper was already open and saw a razor blade inside...
That's why you check your candy....

This is the first instance I've heard of where it wasn't one of the parents putting the razor in the candy-- then again, it's not quite over yet. (Number 5 on the Cracked list of "5 People Who Screwed Things Up for Everybody"-- strong language warning)

Honestly, most of these things turn out to be a hoax or a poorly executed insurance scam. The real cryin' shame is that people actually believe it happens enough to assume that something like this is the standard.

Yeah, I thought that was the only time it happened. But some people think this incident is a hoax.
Halloween wraps fear in innocence,
As though it were a slightly sour sweet.
Let terror, then, be turned into a treat...

The thing is, that this O'Bryan monster was the one who started all that fear mongering. It is simply NOT as rampant a problem as the media makes it out to be. A guy posiened his own son in order to collect on a life insurance policy. That's a horible crime in and of itself. He was executed for his crime, and there have been other isolated instances of inappropriate objects beinf found in a child's ToT bag, but the point of the article is how the mass media tends to exagerate these things.

As I said, the deliberate poisening of a child for proffit is a horendous crime, but the simple fact is, the United States and the Western Hemisphere is not chucked full of serial killers with grudges against children. Most real life serial killers also don't wait until Halloween. BUT, the fear lives on because of what that one deviant did.

Oh, and I wouldn't let him off as easy as a simple bullet in the head.

Mike
