About spammers

Post by iHaunt » Fri Dec 02, 2011 11:08 pm

Why do we always see so many spammers, like everyday?!?! I don't mean here on this forums, they're on other forums! Why can't the admin owners and mods clean it up? Kick their azz off the boards! :?

For the very same reason we're indondated with junk mail every day. $$$$$ MONDY$$$$$ That's why. Junk mailers send out hundreds of thousands of junk mailings, and rake in millions when only about 3 to 5 % answer their mailings. With the Internet and e-mail, the potential customer list is much, much bigger. Now, they can send junk e-mail or spam to tens of millions instead of one million or 100 thousand. Again, if 2 or 2% actualy buys what they are selling, they are raking cash hand over fist. It's all about the big bucks.

Of course, there are plenty of "crank" spam as well. Some people like to use a computer the same way little 'trouble makers' like me use to use the telephone when I was about 10 or 11 years old. Back then, there were no answering machines (well, there were, but they were very expensive and hard to isntall) There was no Caller I D, and most of the pones still had drotary dials onthem, so we would make "crank" phone calls all the ti me.

The Internet has pretty much replaced telephones as the venu for 10 and 11 year old pranksters who like to play jokes.

Yeah. We got some crank calls at our 360 Pizzeria restaurant! Some teenagers love to play to place the order so when our delivery drivers showed up at some of the house, they say they didn't order it! :? But, we got caller id to check out the name and number, also the home address. If we get wrong home address over the phone while we check the caller id then we will not deal with them. :)

We use to order pizzas to other people's houses as a prank. This was long before there even was such a thing as Caller I D. One time a buddy of mine and I ordered 12 extra large 16 inch pizzas to a house of a guy we didn't like.
