This years(2012) costume

Post by Demonic Duck » Fri Aug 03, 2012 1:09 pm

How many of my fellow Halloween fanatics know what they're being this year? Personally I'm not sure yet. My wife and I generally try to do something that coordinates. We even get our daschund Cheerio in the group if we can.

Not 100% sure yet but I think I'm going a as a SteamPunk Lab girl and my hubby as a mad scientist. I'm pretty sure were going to have a small Halloween party, I really, really want one!!

Sound like good costumes, You could deck out your place like a laboratory with weird experiments going on! My wife and I have a party every year and even get almost all of our guests to wear costumes. Last year my friend and his girlfriend went as a steampunk version of Little Red Ridding Hood and The Wolf. They spent a LONG time making them but they came out great. Things lit up and everything.

We have a party every other year usually, but I'm going to see my dad in New Mexico in Oct., sooo things may get a little tight, we'll see.

The Little red riding hood costume sounds really nice, you should post pics!!

As per request here are some pics of the steampunk RRH and wolf she is very good at sewing and made most of the clothing herself. All the light up parts were custom done by him I think altogether they had like 7 9V batteries on them.

Two more pics showing closer detail. Unfortunelty I don't have a good shot of the basket which was filled with Twix and black roses with little gears glued on them.

No firm plans yet unfortunately, but I have some ideas. I thought about the girl from Disney's Brave movie, as I have red hair, but I'm thinking I want to do something scary this year... Also waiting for this years American Horror Story to start up, the characters on there last year were great and might be a perfect idea for this year.

More good ideas. My wife and I are also (im)patiently waiting for American Horror Story to return. The characters from last season were great and I loved the story. I'm kinda bummed that it's a whole new storyline. There seemed to be a bunch of unanswered questions. Oh well hopefully the new plot story will be as good as last years.

Those pictures are sick!!

Since this year is the infamous 2012 I'm gonna be Nostradamus.
Halloween wraps fear in innocence,
As though it were a slightly sour sweet.
Let terror, then, be turned into a treat...

Yeah, I was bummed about that too, I really wanted to see what happened with the kid and Constance... she was my favorite part of the show.

Exactly Whatsername. If any of you haven't seen American Horror Story. The entire first season is available streaming on the FX website here: http://www.fxnetworks.com/shows/origina ... pisode.php

According to Wikipedia it starts sometime in October. Also some characters are coming back Constance, Tate, Chad, the real estate agent and Nora Montgomery.

Ever thought of Deborah Ann Woll's character on "True Blood"? Jessica might be fun!

Not sure I was thinking of possibly being a Ghostbuster or Skeletor from Masters of the Universe or maybe a Werewolf.
