Enjoy the rare, blue moon tonight.

I'm going to watch my Munsters dvds to kick off the Labor Day weekend!

"Little Halloween" occurs when the 13th of the month falls on a Friday. Today is actualy the 31st, but I think we can make an exception. But I plan on doing something a little different. As many of you probably already know, Neil Armstrong, the man who took that "one small step for man, and one giant leap for manking" died last Saturday, and tonight they will be having a special service for him. The Blue Moon is supposed to rise at 9:30, so I am going to observe the rising of the Blue Moon and say a few prayers for who IMHO is one of the greatest heros of all time.

Of course, since 31 is an inverted 13, if you want to call it "Little Halloween," I'll go along for the ride. I'll screen "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" after I honor Neil Armstrong.

The rain isn't supposed to arrive in my neck of the woods until tomorrow morning, and it's supposed to hang around all through Sunday. I should get a good gander at the Blue Moon tonight, but unfortunately I was hoping I could ride the Harley up to Chicago as I am planning on visiting a couple of buddies of mine for a Labor Day Weekend barbecue. It looks like the barbecue is going to have to be done in the kitchen oven, and I'll be driving the Mercury tomorrow.

Nobody should observe today's events without some help from Frank...

Man proposes, God disposes. The clouds rolled in long before Moon rise last Friday, so I didn't get to see the "blue" moon, so instead, I watched a series of documenteries on the Science Channel about the entire History of the Apollo project. They aire it in honor of Neil Armstrong.

I guess we were lucky. It was all clear here on Friday, although rainy the rest of the weekend. We got a good look at it.
