This gives us two to work on and writers can alternate between both threads.
(Premise of the story is the VanRechtien Asylum (fictional) exists at the end of a 7 mile gravel road deep in the wooded hills of Missouri. So we'll say that the nearest town is the town of Oaks Valley (also fictional). The Asylum has a reputation among the upper class as being an eficient and well run facility for the mentally insane. But others say different, There are rumors, and questions. Like why is VanRechtien Asylum located seven miles deep into a vast hill y wilderness? But the politicians, and the upper echelon never seem to have any suspicions. Consider also that Missouri his many rivers, creeks and streams.)
Thats the basic premise. I'll begin.

Calvin Harmon was the model of an over achieving high school athlete with sharp looks and a sore attitude towards those whom he believed were smarter than him. He was popular and his family was well off so it was certainly a strange scene for most teens when they saw him sitting at Stacks Burgers talking nervously to the President of the Oaks Valley High School chess team, Howard Hamlin. Calvin wasn't a bad person. He had a good heart. But between the strict expectations of his parents and the pressure of being a teenager in highschool, Calvin gave into the rank and file society of high school. He was burdened by the idea that his parents never gave him any credit for being smart.
"Okay Howard, look...no offense but i'm kinda losing rep points being seen here with you over a couple of habanero burgers. But I've seriously been thinking about what you had said at the next table during lunch at school last week." Calvin said in a serious tone, oblivious that he may have even insulted Howard.
"Um..heh, no offense taken. So what do you think? I mean the pieces all fit. There is perfect reason for suspicion as to why Mrs Hill was suddenly committed when she has been acting perfectly fine every day that we've seen her." Howard replied.
Calvin took a bite out of his burger. His face was red and a small sweat broke out but he wouldnt show the slightest expression of pain.
"Want some hot sauce?" Howard asked with a giggle.
"Funny, while you're at it lets toss some gasoline on this and light it up, there's no way it can get any hotter" Calvin replied, enjoying the break in humor considering his stress over his Aunt and Teacher Loretta Hill who had been committed to the rumor riddled VanRechtien Asylum.
"Hey, whats the deal? You two complainin about the food? I never heard you complain before." said Reggie Stacks, a middle aged single man and owner of Stacks Burgers. Stacks was single, one of few African Americans in town, so he felt lonely and he put his life into his business. The community loved Reggie Stacks and his food.
"No way Reggie, you know we love your burgers. I just think maybe Calvin shouldn't have ordered the Habanero burger." Howard replied.
"Alright then, you had me thinking I was messin up or somethin, don't chall youngins do me like that now." Reggie said with a smile, and then returned to cooking behind the server window.
