"LITTLE HALLOWEEN" REMINDER

Post by Pumpkin_Man » Fri Aug 30, 2013 9:30 am

Hi Folks:

This is just another reminder that Friday the 13th, or "Little Halloween" is exactly 2 weeks from this very day. It's time to start making our plans. If I can get my supervisor's approval, I am going to take that day off from work.

I have a major dental procedure scheduled for that day. I'll probably need a Little Halloween celebration that night!

I'm going to try to get the day off, also. I'm thinking I'm going to start breaking out the Halloween decorations during the day and watch DVDs in the evening. My husband is going to be off, so I can't wait! :)
We're the farmer's scarecrows
We scare away the birds,
We keep the farmer's corn safe
Without any words.
But when Halloween comes
We jump out of the ground
And we scare the boys and girls
When they come walking 'round.

I never saw the first "Insidious" movie, so I would be lost if I went to see Chapter 2. I think "The Conjuring" will be playing at the Harvest Moon drive-in, as part of a double feature which will also be the oroginal "The Shining," and that is what I would like to do for "Little Halloween," but I am also going to do a few fun things at home, being that I'm going to be off.

Well, as it turns out that major dental procedure has been moved to this afternoon. Their hygienist quit on them and they have had to get a sub, who can only work certain days, but she is there today! Hooray! (not). Just found out about an hour ago. Totally craptastic day for me, actually. But maybe I will be in a happier mood by Little Halloween.

Hope your dental procedure goes well, Murph. Or went well, depending on when you read this. Hopefully, you'll be feeling better come Little Halloween.

Thanks. It actually went way better than I'd been led to expect, because they decided they could do what they needed to do without shots. I had been led to expect my whole mouth would be numbed, but I got by without any of that, so I am happy today.

Well congrats. I guess your husband doesn't have to cater to your every need for the next few days then.

Bow hunting season for deer opens here on September 14, so on the 13th I'll be getting ready to do my Michael Myers impression on some venison! :P :P :P    :D

My birthday is the opening day of rifle season. Yes, my birthday got overshadowed some years.
