Do I HAVE to like the Halloween movies? :(
Where's the 'I don't care either way' option?
I saw the original, in the theater, way back when and I just don't remember it doing that much for me. I've never rented it on DVD but I might be inclinded to do so just to catch up on what all the hubbub is about it.

I've seen my share of 'slasher/gore' movies and I've just never really gotten any kick out of seeing the gratuitous slaughter of innocent kids.

The kind of bloody, with lots of killing kind of movie I like is where the good guy kills the, or all the bad guys and is in no way politically correct about it. The Die Hard movies for example and the first couple of Lethal Weapon movies.
Still, I've never been COMPLETELY satisfied with any 'Bad guy get's what he deserves' scene in ANY movie. I wanna see the BAD guys, frightened to death, tortured, maimed then slaughtered!

I've forgotten to add Rob Zombie's Halloween movie website.

Here it is: http://www.halloween-themovie.com

So, for clarification, this is a remake of the original. They are calling it a reimagination of the original...which it kinda bullshit.

Anyways...I agree that the remakes never surpass the original.

OK... I'll see the original again (after all these years) and give my honest assesment of it. And don't worry, I'll take into account the time it was made and note that it really was one of the first of its kind.
