Well, this list of names is maintained and updated by an international committee of the World Meteorological Organization (http://www.wmo.ch/). The easy way is dumb luck (e.g. waiting for them to retire the current names that start with the same letter as your name. :-)

I wish they start using less common names or maybe make some new names up for hurricanes. Imagine all the Katrinas and Andrews out there who have to deal with strangers bringing up that they share the same names as a hurricane. It probably gets annoying after a while.

when do the next model runs take place. I live near Baton Rouge Louisiana. Just trying to keep up.
