Re: Catching up

The regulations vary across the country, but you would be surprised to learn some of the regulations that employers have to follow that regular people have no idea about. Some employers use a outside company to perform background checks for them, but we do it ourselves to make sure we know what kind...

Well, as long as he is safe, healthy, and happy then that's what matters for now. If he is meant to stay there then the right opportunity will present itself for him, but if this is just another stop on his path to his real destination then at least he is making some great memories.

Re: Catching up

Well, both your kids are right about that. Your daughter is right because social media accounts let strangers know some of the most private details about your life, and you really don't know what kind of psychopath could be viewing your information and start stalking you. I don't think that young pe...

Re: Catching up

I know that most young people today want their clothes and makeup to be created without harming animals, and they are conscious about the effect that the factories have on the environment, but not my niece. She just cares about looking good. As for her buying her own clothes, I don't think that she ...

Hi Murf! I hope that you have been well. It sounds like you had a fun time in Chicago. How is your son doing? Any new interesting developments in his life?

Re: Happy Walspurgisnacht 2024

Apparently June 8th was officially Ghostbusters day but I just found out about it yesterday, so I told the kids that we are going to have a movie marathon this weekend for them to dress up and celebrate. They also revealed some of the new merchandise that they will be releasing this year, there were...

Re: Catching up

I like the idea and I know most of my family would wear them, but there are some members that I know would refuse to, and they're both teenagers. I have a niece that is into punk wear, so she won't wear anything white or colorful. The other niece only wears high trend fashion names, she absolutely w...

Re: Catching up

Well, even if your son was only on a cruise ship for a few days, it was probably still a interesting experience. At least he's getting out there and enjoying the world. We have been watching some videos on youtube about cruises and it really looks like they make sure that the guests are treated righ...

Re: Catching up

I have 2 questions for you guys. 1. Has anyone here been watching the new Doctor Who series? I think the first few episodes were fine, but the fourth episode was really good, it had you guessing through the whole show how it was going to play out, and I think it's one of the best episodes they have ...

Re: Happy Walspurgisnacht 2024

I know a lot of people, both young and old, that don't have kids, some of them by choice, others because they are unable to, and while some of them are perfectly happy, some have told me that they regret not having kids. I will admit that sometimes it can be frustrating dealing with kids, and you ar...

Re: Happy Walspurgisnacht 2024

I admit that sometimes I go too far with my fun, and my wife has to reel me in. I think that having kids gives me the opportunity to enjoy the things that as a adult I probably wouldn't be interested in if I didn't have kids. For example, we often build Lego sets with our kids, and you would b...

Re: Happy Walspurgisnacht 2024

Well, I'd like to think that I am. :D The truth is that they keep me young, and they give me a reason to have fun. My mother told me the same thing about us when we were kids, and now she says that she stays young by being around her grandkids. She also says that it's about your own personal point o...

Re: Are y'all ready for Easter?

My grandmother used to make Jello with fruit in it for us as well, I've tried it with grapes, strawberries, and cherries, and they were good. She also made it with nuts, but that was disgusting.

Re: Are y'all ready for Easter?

By the way, does anyone here remember eating Jello with Marshmallows in it? My grandmother used to make it for us, it was usually awful, but sometimes it was good.

Re: Are y'all ready for Easter?

I'm not a fan of marshmallows That's probably because of the emotional trauma you went through after you witnessed a 100 foot tall Marshmallow Man rampage through the city streets, and then blow up in front of you 40 years ago. Seriously though, I love marshmallows, particularly in S'mores, b...
