I've just today finished my halloween costume- Cleopatra!
I bought a cheap black dress from target and sewed on some detailing. I have a gold sequin headband to match but it's not in the picture.

Oooh that is beautiful!
What are you wearing for shoes? I am doing a Queen of the Damned costume this year and of course, she is from Khemet, so my costume has an Ancient-Egyptian-belly-dance sort of theme to it. But I'm stuck for shoes... although it will be an indoor party, I still need some shoes to wear when I'm going to greet people at the bus stop etc. I've tried looking for some "Egyptian" sort of sandals on eBay, but I can't really find anything that looks like it fits..

well actually, my school's homecoming theme is bce, and i'm going greek-style, so i bought gray lace-up sandals that will do double duty. i found them by searching on amazon for 't-strap sandal', 'hermes sandal' and 'greek sandal'- urbanoutfitters.com also has some wonderful choices!

That is a great idea Wicked, thank you!! I didn't even think about searching for those things.. I've just been searching for "gold sandal"... "Egyptian sandal"... "Egypt shoes" lol! *runs off to eBay again*
