Hello Everyone
Hope everyone has had a great year since last Halloween. I got the eMail about it never being too early to haunt the forums in regards to Halloween ... so here I am.
After a massive, month-long, horror movie fest in 2007, this year's theme is centered more on TV Trick or Treats (though I will still be compelled to have a Creature Double Feature at minimum each day).
I purchased the original "Kolchak: The Night Stalker" TV Series DVD Set a while ago, but have yet to open it, as to savor it during October. There are only 20 episodes of the 1974 series, which gave me an idea:
In addition to the 20 episodes of "Kolchak", how about watching the Top 20 episodes from two other, long-running series:
"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "The X-Files"
I've bounced the idea off several friends in my circle, and compiled my own list of Top 20 candidates for each series. But I would enjoy hearing from members here on Halloween.com: What are the best or favorite episodes from either or each of the series mentioned above?
I am also going to schedule/program other short-lived-but-great series to watch during October, such as "Miracles", "Dark Shadows" (NBC 1991), "Tru Calling", "American Gothic" and "The Crow: Stairway to Heaven". I'm also going to officially begin a start-to-finish viewing of the original "The Twilight Zone" (a gift I received last Christmas). Open to other suggestions!
The month will end with an official 31-Hour Halloween Marathon beginning Friday, 12:01 a.m. October 31st. I've pretty much got this scheduled out, purchasing a few DVDs now to make it happen ... and I'll unveil it closer to October.
So, in closing ...
I would love Halloween.com members input for The Top 20 Episodes of Buffy and The X-Files ... either by the episode's actual title or a simple description. I'm trying to find an episode of "The X-Files" where there was a man-sized, buzzing insect-kind-of-creature --- that's all I can remember of it right now.
Look forward to any responses ... Have a Great Summer Everyone.

P.S. Get some awesome music for October from the prolific group Nox Arcana ... great atmospheric and themed music ... just released their eighth (8th) CD. Yes, I know these guys ... but it really has little to do with how killer their CDs are. You can sample some tracks, if I'm not mistaken, on the website: http://www.noxarcana.com; and its also on iTunes.

Re: Input for October 2008 TV Viewing
Man I wish I could remember which Buffy episodes are in what season. I actually got really into that show after my ex girlfriend made me watch a few episodes. I've literally seen every one. Excellent show.
Oz's werewolf episodes would be good. The der kinderstaat (spelling?) one is good as well. There's so many to choose from.

I'm a big X-Files fan, so I'll try and give you a top 20 episode list. I'll try and remember the good ones, since Sci-Fi channel has quit showing them in the daytime. (It's 3 in the morning to watch a normal episode)
