Re: Hi Everyone!
*SIGH* Yeah 8 months seems like a loooong way away, but then again it always does. I'm doing ok, except for my King Charles Spaniel/Dachshund mix had an operation for a slipped disc a month ago and is still not using his hind legs. He will eventually (I hope I Hope), and my husband has been gone on a job since Jan 4th, so that makes it harder. I have a bunch of candles on my coffee table though, so some nights I light them all, play a good horror movie and pretend it's Halloween again for comfort.

Re: Hi Everyone!
Well in order to aleviate the Winter boredom, I decided to screen all of my "Dark Shadows" video tapes, starting from the pilot episode. Of course, this is going to take a couple of years, but I thought it would be nice to see the entire "Dark Shadows" story in the exact order it happened. I haven't gotten to the part where Willie Lumis frees vampire Barnabas Collins yet, but I am anticipating that should happen before the end of March.
As for Halloween, I am looking forward to the big day next October, but I am also looking forwrd to "Little Halloween," which will be on Friday May 13th. Of course, I will be taking photos at the graduation, and working very late but I still plan to watch a "Dark Shadows" video with a plastic jack'olantern for effect.

Re: Hi Everyone!
"Dark Shadows" was my introduction to the suernatural world of vampires, wearwolvs, witches, ghosts, haunted houses and the like. I knew woh Barnabas Collins was long before I even heard of Count Dracula. I saw Chris Jennings turn into a wearwolf and attack a bar maid long before I even knew there was a Larry Tolbat. My whole love of Halloween and monsters all began with "Dark Shadows." Of course, it didn't end there, but it certainly had a very strong influence on Halloween for me. I would race home from school every week day so I wouldn't miss somuch as a minute of that show. The girls were pretty, too. I had quite a crush on Victoria Winters, and later on Angelique. I also had a crush on Daphne Heridage and to a lesser extent on Carolyn Stoddard.
But when I think of an old haunted house, Collinwood pops right into my mind. When I think of the horror of seeing a guy transform into a raving, murderous wear wolf, that scene in Chris Jennings hotel room imediately comes to mind. I was only a little kid at the time, so that scene scared the beejeebers out of me. To boot, I had nightmares for a week, but I STILL loved "Dark Shadows." And yes, I had crushes on girls even when I was a little kid.

Re: Hi Everyone!
Well, I don't know if I would want it to be every day, because I also love the 4th of July, Summer time and other days of the year, but Halloween is undoubetedly my absolute favorite day of the year, and October is my favorite month. That's why I celebrate "Little Halloween" every time the 13th of the month falls on a Friday. This year, the only "Little Halloween," unfortunately will be on May 13th, and I have to cover a graduation comencement that day, bus rest assured, as lat as it will be, when I get home from that graduation, one of my plastic jack o'lanterns is comming out, and a horror movie is going into the DVD player or VCR, and I am going to observe "Little Halloween" that night before I turn in for the night.
