Vampire books

Post by Haunt Master » Sun Oct 19, 2008 3:05 pm

Has anyone read any good vampire novels lately? Well, long time ago I read Bram Stoker's Dracula and Stephen King's Salem's Lot.

I've already read True Blood - It is based on a book series called "The Southern Vampire" series written by Charlaine Harris.

The series is pretty good if you're looking for something to read! ;)

Well I've read vampire books.. But not like Dracula ones or anything.. They're more for teens and stuff.. Like Vampire Diaries and Vampire Kisses and House of Night series and Blue Bloods and Silver Kiss and Peeps and Vampire Beach and of course, the Twilight series lol

Kortnie,

That's very cool books - And, honestly, I've never heard all of these titles before. Are they just for teens only?

I read Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire way back when it was first released - great book (none of the other vampire books in the series is up to the same standards she set with the first and I think only the first sequel - the Vampire Lestat - is even worth reading imho). Currently reading The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova and enjoying it very much. Of course Bram Stoker set the bar with Dracula way back when and even today it is an incredibly enjoyable read.

Did you see the movie for Interview with the Vampire? Unfortunately I haven't read any of those books.

Most of my favorite series are on here. I can finish a book in about two days . . .
