Creepyworld haunt was robbed!

Sheriff's investigators for Jefferson County in Missouri are searching for thieves who robbed the Creepyworld haunted attraction in Fenton. Several full standing characters such as bloody pigs, latex skeletons, and other props were taken.

This comes as a huge blow to the haunt which is scheduled to open up for haunting on September 11. Creepyworld still plans to go ahead with the 2009 season.

The owners of the attraction believe that the thief or thieves are people who are either big Halloween enthusiasts or want to open their own haunted attraction.

The props that were stolen, that take weeks, and sometimes months to make and deliver, have a value estimate between ten and fifteen thousand dollars.

Things like that take the fun out of Halloween. There allways has to be some one who has to be dishonest or greedy.

I remember when I was a kid, our local park had a Halloween party and they would serve taffy apples. One year, some one stole an entire box of 30 taffyapples, and at that point the coordinators of the party decided that taffy apples would no longer be served.

It took just one dishonest person to ruin it for everyone else.

Some people told me that Halloween thieves r robbers, whatever they like to be called for stealing Halloween props and everything from the home property or haunted attraction... they would use them for their own yard haunt display at their home, and/or they probably sell them online like Ebay, Craig's List, or create their own website to establish their own shop online to sell all stolen goods. Well, that's terribly!

That is pretty brazen of them, displaying stolen props in their yards. That's part of the reason why I have not put any yard decorations out as of yet. They are major targets for stealing, and they can also be expensive.

What you have to do is set up cameras on your lawn, and if you catch somebody swiping your inflatable Headless Horseman, you hunt that hooligan down like the dog he is.
