Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Well I couldn't keep up with you, then.
I'm a red wine or dark beer gal. Or an occasional tequila.
I hardly drink though, my system doesn't handle it. And I'm half French-half Irish. Go figure that! hehe

Re: Monster eats Vermonster
Yuck! I'd never START with Corona, much less go back to it!
My beer tastes range from Becks Light (when I'm slimmin') to Stella Artois to Pilsner Urquell to Harp to Smithwicks to Guiness, but if I had to pick I'd always go with Tennants first.
I'm with you on the whisky neat, but it has to be a single malt Scotch, preferably from the Isle of Islay, though I do love Talisker (from Skye) and Highland Park (from the Orkney Islands).
I cook with wine more than I drink it, but sometimes it compliments a meal like nothing else can. Not a fan of sweet wines... A dry Pino Grigio with pork, chicken, or shellfish, and a dry red with beef or pasta. And of course, nothing compliments liver and fava beans like a nice Chianti...fht fht fht fht fht fht!!

do they make a "sweet" beer, I hate the bitter stuff. I like drinks like Pena-colada, port wine, margaritas, rum and coke, etc.....I guess girly drinks...

I love piña coladas in the summer, and I've recently gotten into making mojitos. Nothing like the smell of crushed mint.

Re: Monster eats Vermonster
When I drink it's either;
A.) Jim Beam Black (or Jamesons), room temp, straight
B.) Shiner Bock, the best beer I've ever tasted. The only alcoholic drink I CRAVE sometimes.
Oh and for energy drinks red bull all the way. I'm most definitely addicted to them. If I don't have one for a couple days I get horrible horrible headaches.
I drink pumpkin ale during this time of year as well.

Indeed it is.
The last one I bought had too many spices in it. It gave me heartburn. I still have 5 bottles left...

Re: Monster eats Vermonster
i bought a six pack of pumpkin ale last year and was pleasantly suprised
it has an unusual taste
as far as whiskies..
i grew up around Jack so that's always had a soft spot on the taste buds
Knob Creek is good when you're not wanting to spend too much (although its pricier than jack)
i find my self more into whiskey during the fall and winter
in the summer i'm a rum kinda guy with the occasional margarita or 4 lol
never been much for wine though..
i can however drink a good quality champaign should some one bless me with some bc i'll never buy it lol
and as far as Corona goes.... YUCK..
if any of you haven't... do yourself a favor and grab a LANDSHARK
its a GREAT yellow beer...
heck.. its jimmy buffet's beer
let the fin begin hahaha
