Yeah, and what's weird is that they are now cheaper than Red Box. At least the one by me is. Maybe if they would have lowered their prices sooner they wouldn't have had to close all those stores?

I think Block Busters is going the same way as Netflix. They are going to operate on line instead of having the over head cost of running all those stores.

As for the cookies, I want some, too.

Interesting about the Blockbusters.

Our local groceries haven't started baking Halloween cookies yet, but I am seeing a big display of pumpkin-themed pastries--spice cakes, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, mini cupcakes with cream cheese icing.

That sounds YUMMY too, Murf. Nothing beats a good cream chese frosting. I'm kicking myself for not buying a pumpkin flavored cheese cake that was on sale at my local grocery store last Sunday. I thought about, and thought about it and thought about, and finaly I decided to go and buy it, and when I got there it was GONE. :(

I guess that's life in Halloween town.

I'm ready to show off my town's brilliance now.

Walgreens

I got this phone. It rings and when you pick it up a ghostly voice makes threats and laughs crazy-like.
Image

I also got this. The objects in front of the castle and the shadows in the back rotate while music and sound effects play.

Rite Aid

These were out I think September 1st or 2nd. Which means they must have been out in August!

I bought this skeleton for 60 bucks. I think it's their only one.

I have pics of Walmart from today if anyone is interested. But I think you can probably visit your own.

Rite Aid
That was at Rite Aid! I'm gonna have to go take another look. They were still putting stuff on the shelf last time I was there. I want!

My Rite Aid didn't have that but Walgreens did.

Oh yeah! And this pizza from Walmart! They had other Halloween foods scattered around through the food section. And these pumpkin spice cupcakes.

There were pumpkin spice cakes on sale at my local grocery store just the other day. They also had "Little Debbie" halloween style marshmellow crispie treats. I bought a box to stash in my desl dwar at work.

My wife and I have been to 5 or so Halloween stores this year so far and we're feeling rather blah with all the offerings :( We're excited for Halloween but it seems to be all the same stuff nothing new. The one thing we we had saw online was a undead lawn flamingo and when we saw it in person it was like half the size we expected it to be. :(

Right now, as I write this post, I am eating a Halloween style Hostess Snow Ball.

My husband and I went to Lowe's this weekend and saw a large Halloween display. I especially liked a witch holding a lantern. She was a light sculpture.

I am going to be doing some Halloween shopping tonight after work, as Friday is the day I set up my decorations. I am hoping to add more jack o'lanterns and skulls to my display, but I would also love a witch on a broom stick and a black cat.
