Interesting concept. I didn't look at every photo. Was there a Grim Reaper among them?
I read a book a few years back called The Great Mortality, all about the Medieval plague years. It must have been beyond horrifying to have been alive at that time.
The kids at my older son's high school used to have a day when a certain percentage would come to school all ghoulishly made up like that. It had nothing to do with Halloween or Renaissance Fairs. I believe it was an attempt to discourage drunk or careless driving. They would designate a certain number of students to dress as corpses or horrifically injured people. It was always kinda weird to come pick him up from school on that day.

They did that at my high school too, the week before prom. They'd read during the morning announcements the names of about ten students who they claimed died over the weekend in a car accident, and then those students would show up in class zombified. They went through the normal day, but they weren't supposed to talk or interact with anyone.

"BRING OUT'CHA DEAD!"
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.
