Oooh, sounds like the English are catching the Halloween spirit! When the candy companies start making special packaging for that season, that's a good sign.
I can't think of any particular bakeries in my neck of the woods. The American South is not particularly known for stand-alone bakeries, though every grocery store has one. Our local Kroger's had cupcakes made up for the Harry Potter premiere back in July, that sort of thing. They will be selling something Halloweenish when the time comes.
It amuses me that they sell red, white and blue star-shaped cookies around the Fourth of July, then red & green star-shaped cookies at Christmas. I know they are using the same cookie cutters for both. They just change the color of the icing or sugar-sprinkles. And I swear the Rudolph cookies are shaped a whole lot like the Easter bunny cookies. Those antlers and those ears. . . .
Do you all have the pre-made cookie dough with seasonal shapes inside them? For instance, at Halloween, you can buy a roll of cookie dough (made by IDK, maybe Pillsbury?) that has an orange center shaped like a pumpkin. Or maybe it is a tray of pre-made cookies (raw though, needing to be baked) that has a holiday shape inside, where the dough is a different color, like a ghost or a pumpkin or a cat. Those are handy for after-school snacks in October.
