Sounds like you all were slammed. How many would you say came through?
We only had 21, not a great turnout, but they arrived evenly throughout the evening, so it seemed like a bit more.

none, the kids here go to the "rich" neighborhoods surrounding our area.

Didn't count but we went through about ten bags of candy, none of which I ate.

I went through about 3 bags of candy, which is fewer then in years past. I also had a few repeats, but the good news is that everyone who came to my door this year was wearing a costume.

I have no idea how many kids came by my house... we last-minute decided to ditch our house and crash a church trunk-or-treat party my husband's side of the family was attending. We ended up leaving that party early (I kept squishing my parasite to bend down b/c kids weren't holding buckets high enough for me), so we went to visit friends. By the time we got home, it was too late on a school night for kids to be out and about... I'm subsequently stuck with about 4 Cost-Co sized bags of candy (normally, I'd have run out of that in an hour or so at home)... it was a nice, relaxing change. LOL.

I didn't count, but we had a nice turn-out. I probably gave out about 4/5s of the candy I'd bought, which pleased me, since I always want some left over.
Spooky, our town also has "destination" streets, and happily for me, one of them is just around the corner from us, so we get the spill-over. However, not all of these streets are in "rich" neighborhoods. Ours certainly isn't. Around here, the truly affluent neighborhoods have so many homeowners codes restricting decorations and hours for TOTing that the best neighborhoods are actually a bit further down the economic scale, like ours. Not impoverished, but definitely not rich. These are the houses that vie with each other to see who can have the best decorations. Halloween is like a block party around here.
One exception is our historic district, where many wealthy people live. Many of those homes do decorate extensively, and they see tons of TOTers from all over town. Because they are just off the historic square, where the merchants do TOT from 3-5 every Halloween, these people have evidently decided to go with it and give the town a party, so to speak. Sort of a noblesse oblige on their part, which I greatly appreciate.

I would like to check that out some time, Murf. I would also love to spend a Halloween season in Salem Mass, too.

We got none this year due to Sandy. Not that we normally get a lot(maybe 8 tops) but it wasn't safe to go ToTing on Halloween. They postponed it to Monday and then sunday night we got an automated call saying Halloween was cancelled due to still dangerous conditions and that there were no plans to reschedule.

Oh by the way Jade...my wife seems to have contracted the same parasite you have. It is making her miserable.
