Remnants of Halloween 2010

Post by Pumpkin_Man » Fri Nov 12, 2010 4:44 pm

One of my favorite activities is to cruis around a few days after Halloween and notice decorations that are still up, or merchandise half priced and things like that. Yesterday, when I went grocery shopping, I noticed that there were quite a few houses with Halloween decorations up. Our book store still has lots of Halloween merchandise half priced, and I bought a few items. They are indoor items only. The grocery store had some Halloween candy left, but not much. There were 3 packages of Affy Tapple carmel corn, and 4 packages of Affy Tapple carmek apples left last Wednesday, and they were gone the next day. There are no pumpkins to be seen, and I was sort of hoping to get one for my Thanksgiving display. I didn't save one.

There were also some Halloween window displays up at some of the offices at my work place.

The yard across from my school still has decorations out, as for stores around here, not seein anything left of Halloween, a Christmas bomb has hit pretty much every store in the area.

That seems to have happened in all the stores in my town and the College book store where I live, too. There were a few Halloween items on sale for half price on Monday, and then on Tuesday, there was nothing but Christmas merchandise as far as the eye can see.

Like you said, a Christmas bomb went off. But I am still finding little bits and pieces of Halloween. Yesterday when I went to the grocery store, there was one house that still had a huge jack o'lantern in their front yard, but it was gone when I drove by that same house this morning on my way to the Interstate to go to work.

Maybe they were kidnapped by the Easter Bunny.
