Run for your lives!
.
GENIUS!!!! A 5K marathon, with an obstacle course, while being chased by zombies. Anybody here live near Baltimore?
http://runforyourlives.com/
It's a bit like flag football. The runners wear flags, which represent life. Their task is to make it to the finish line while dodging and jumping over obstacles, without losing all their flags. Volunteers, posing as zombies, attempt to chase them down and grab their flags. Basically, trying to take their "lives". If you cross the finish line without any flags, you're dead and are ineligible for any prizes.
I've already contacted the organizers of our zombie walk. I'd love to see one of these here. Ultimately, I think it would be cool if cities could create teams and face off against each other, culminating with a 'Zombie Super Bowl' at Halloween.
Plus, this would be great practice for the Zombie Apocalypse.

I wish we had one of these in Indy!
We have a small zombie walk in Irvington, but nothing on the scale of San Diego! I want to go!

Nice!! Only about an hour and a half from where I am, but it's kinda expensive. Anybody have a business and wanna sponsor me? I'll wear my kilt and a t-shirt with your logo on it, so you're sure to get exposure!

Just make sure you wear something under that kilt or we'll all get more exposure than we can stand.MacPhantom wrote:I'll wear my kilt and a t-shirt with your logo on it, so you're sure to get exposure!

This is awesome! The closest thing we have here is the Zombie Pub Crawl, which gets crazy! I would rather have some drinks than run a marathon, but I would totally give it the old college try!

Come on, NeverMore. That completely defeats the whole purpose of wearing a kilt in the first place! That's like having vegetarian haggis, or going to the beach in a snowstorm.NeverMore wrote:Just make sure you wear something under that kilt or we'll all get more exposure than we can stand.MacPhantom wrote:I'll wear my kilt and a t-shirt with your logo on it, so you're sure to get exposure!

I have an app that uses google maps to create a walking (or jogging) route that shows zombies that you must avoid in order to make it to your destination alive.NeverMore wrote:.

It alters the zombie courses to make each walk unique.
It can be multi-player as well and you can meet up with other zombie aficionados during your walk.

Here's one that works in your browser. At least, it's supposed to. Maybe doesn't work for me because of the slow connection?Andybev01 wrote:

Looks like it's similar but I'm not installing chrome to find out.
