While there is actually beheading day of sorts, I wasn't able to find out in what time I searched online if it is a day to commemorate the beheading of Anne Boleyn, or John the Baptist. My bets on John the Baptist but more research is needed.

(Goes into the web..spends time..returns)

Okay from what I gathered many people think beheading day is an Internet hoax. Not really, its origin comes from feasting day which was a day when Roman Catholics would feast in commemoration of the beheading of John The Baptist. Its not about, "yay, they sawed his head off". But it was actually an observed holy day of his martyrdom and the great man he was. Although I find this observing kind of odd and ritualistic in that the practice was to eat a round head sized food on a flat plate with a knife. Errrr...

Of course now beheading day could become anything to anyone and any sick twisted soul could throw a costume party where you had to come as a beheaded victim in history like Nick berg etc. etc.

Remember, Roman emperor named Pompey was beheaded by Egyptian (by Queen Cleopatra's brothers)? When Juluis Caesar tried to find out who did kill Pompey... Well, both brothers got executed by cutting off their heads and putting on the stakes outside of the castle to show all Egyptians to be scared!

This topic was bound to become disturbing which is why I'll bow out after this posting. But I have seen so so many of the terrorist behading videos for morbid curiosity and there is nothing harder to withstand. Its not the guillotine or a swift chop, it sawwing with a knife. But again, thats been goin on for Millenia.

Its a sad reality.

Its why we must focus on the good and possitive and happy forces at work in the universe.

Its a topic that some cant help discuss because of its audacity. I am afraid as a long time member of halloween.com I have not been very responsible in keeping this topic family friendly.

It has been established that this Beheading day stems from an August 29Th Roman Catholic day of feasting for John the Baptist.

When or if such a forum is opened up for members who choose to enter into it and is password protected, that allows for serious and sometimes graphic discussion, this thread would have a home.

But I am going to lock it down. My apologies for my disturbing feedback.
